NOAA Berwick station

Atchafalaya Delta station
The hurricane-hardened NOAA Water Level and Weather Station located in Berwick, Louisiana adjacent to the Martin Midstream Services Terminal, extend 19 feet above the Atchafalaya River and is reinforced with heavy timber piles that protect the instrumentation located on top of the platform.
Serving Morgan city industries and communities near the port and Atchafalaya River area, this new station operates in real time and transmits weather, water levels and storm surge data to shipboard navigation systems and to the NOAA website via a satellite uplink.
The new station joins a larger NOAA Sentinel station located along the Atchafalaya river Channel in the Atchafalaya Delta. Click here to read full article.
