The Port of Morgan City, Louisiana, located on the South-Central Louisiana Gulf Coast at the intersection of the Atchafalaya River and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, is uniquely situated to ship and receive cargo throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Morgan City serves as a hub for marine transportation and industrial and commercial activities.

The area is home to a hard working and innovative industrial base.

• The Port of Morgan City Multimodal Marine Terminal can handle bulk, break-bulk, project and container cargoes.

Dredge Watch

Atchafalaya River Crewboat Cut/Bay/Bar – Dredge Robert White completed dredging on April 23rd.

Atchafalaya River Maintenance Dredging:  Bayous Chene, Boeuf and Black – Dredge Susan Crosby has been on site since January 8th.

Atchafalaya River Bar Channel – Contract awarded to BRICE Civil Constructors September, 2018, Dredge Arulaq has been on site since January 1, 2020 and operating satisfactory.  The contractor is in the “Acute Remediation Phase” and will continue dredging operations 24/7 until project depth is achieved at 1.2 maximum density throughout the fluid column.

Berwick Harbor -Both Stouts Pass and Berwick Bay Harbor are currently without major shoaling issues
