After securing a Port Security Grant, the Port of Morgan City was able to purchase a 32′ Defiant multi purpose vessel, built by Metal Shark Aluminum.  A boat shed was constructed by Brunet’s construction to house said vessel.

Port Facility Parking Lot Improvements

Parking lot and driveway improvements, including a covered parking area, were completed in late June, 2012. Another improvement project that is underway at the POMC which will benefit local, state and federal agencies includes a major upgrade to the parking area and driveway that immediately surrounds the facility.
